Women Self-Help Groups is a project currently run in Kibera, Nairobi, for women. Kibera is the largest urban slum in Africa. The overall goal of the project is economic independence for the women. Each self-help group works towards creating and selling traditional jewelry and handicrafts from Kenya.
We are currently looking for volunteers and funding. Please check out this post for further details (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibera) to see how you can help put smiles on these women's faces.
Hello Isaac
ReplyDeleteThanks for inviting me to your blog. It's looking good. It seems you were having some difficulties uploading the slideshow. Which one did you choose, Flickr or Picassa? What is the error message you are getting? Perhaps you can post this on the online course, so we can help you. Cheers.
